Introducing the Micro Batch collection
For those who seek more than just a cup of coffee—who appreciate the journey from farm to cup—our Micro Batch collection is for you. This exclusive series is designed for coffee enthusiasts who are passionate about the origins, flavours, and unique stories behind each bean.
Every so often, we discover coffees that are so rare and exceptional that they deserve their own category. Carefully sourced and meticulously roasted, our Micro Batch collection offers an exploration of coffee at its finest.
As part of our Black Range, these limited-edition releases highlight unique flavour profiles, sustainable farming practices, and exceptional craftsmanship that you won’t find anywhere else.
What sets Micro Batch apart?
What truly distinguishes our Micro Batch collection is the roasting process. While our blends and single origins are roasted on our large-scale roaster to meet demand while maintaining quality and consistency, Micro Batch coffees are roasted on our small-batch roaster within our sensory lab. This approach allows us to pay meticulous attention to detail and develop every nuance of flavour, ensuring that each bean receives the care it deserves.
The Micro Batch collection represents a journey through coffee regions, collaborating closely with farmers to explore various origins and processing methods. When we identify a remarkable bean, we source a small quantity and share it with you, creating an opportunity to taste something extraordinary. Each batch is extremely limited.
How it works
The Micro Batch collection operates on a unique release schedule, allowing us to introduce a new flavour profile every few months. We carefully assess the quality and characteristics of the beans, and when we find a truly exceptional lot, we source a limited quantity to share with our customers. With only a small number of batches available each year, coffee enthusiasts can look forward to experiencing approximately two to four exclusive releases annually. This ensures that each batch remains special and provides an opportunity to explore new flavours and stories from the world of coffee.
Our first Micro Batch releases
Brazil Vista Alegre Organic
This 250g micro batch delivers deep, rich notes of brown sugar syrup, molasses, and black tea.
Grown in the picturesque region of Piatã, nestled between two mountain ranges near Chapada Diamantina National Park, this coffee thrives at altitudes of 1200m to 1400m. The climate, with its ideal temperatures ranging from 10°C to 26°C, contributes to the unique flavour profile of this coffee. Renato Rodrigues and his family employ traditional organic methods, preserving the artisanal nature of their coffee production. The result is a smooth and well-balanced cup that reflects Brazil’s finest craftsmanship.

Ethiopia Sidamo Bona
This vibrant 250g micro batch offers intense orange, lemon, and ruby grapefruit acidity, complemented by a creamy mouthfeel and notes of sweet almond, chocolate, honey, and blueberry in the finish.
Sourced from smallholder farms in Bensa, Sidamo, this coffee flourishes at altitudes of 1800–2100m. The fertile red soil and semi-forest environment provide the perfect conditions for cultivating exceptional coffee. At the Bona washing station, which collaborates with around 400 farmers, meticulous processing techniques are employed to enhance the coffee’s vibrant characteristics. Handpicked cherries undergo a 72-hour wet fermentation and are carefully sorted before being processed using the traditional Agaarde Disc Pulper, ensuring only the highest quality beans make it to your cup.
