This method brings out complex flavours and can be perfect for appreciating the nuanced profiles of our specialty beans. Here’s how to make the most of it:

    • Grind Size: Medium-fine, similar to table salt.
    • Water Temperature: Between 90-96°C.
    • Technique: Use a steady, circular pouring motion to ensure even saturation.

French Press: Rich and full-bodied

The French Press, also known as a press pot or plunger pot, is a favourite for its rich, full-bodied coffee. The French Press coffee method allows oils and fine particles to remain in your coffee, contributing to a robust and flavourful cup. With or without milk works nicely. The process is straightforward but effective:

  • Grind Size: Coarse, like breadcrumbs.
  • Water Temperature: Around 93°C.
  • Technique: Steep for about 4 minutes before pressing the plunger.

Cold Drip Coffee: Convenience and consistency

Cold drip coffee makers are popular for their convenience and ability to brew multiple cups at once. While less hands-on, drip coffee makers can still produce a consistently good cup of coffee with minimal effort. The method comes out very delicate and sweet, and takes around 10-12 hours to brew.

    • Grind Size: Medium, similar to table salt.
    • Water Temperature: Use cold filtered water and ice e.g a larger cold drip may suit 1L of water and 2 big scoops of ice.
    • Technique: Each cold drip maker is different, however we generally recommend setting the grind to medium, add your filtered water and ice, and set to drip every second over 10-12 hours.
